THE BOTTLED WATER FACTS:
Bottled water costs hundreds or thousands of times more than tap water.
Most tap water is just as clean and safe as bottled water.

The idea that all bottled water is "pure" is a marketing myth.

Disposable plastic bottles can leach a chemical known as Bisphenol 3 into the water, the environment, and our own bloodstreams. In fact, evidence of BPA, which is known to disrupt the hormone system of humans, can now be found in approximately 95% of Americans!

The Food and Drug Administration regulates only the 30 to 40 percent of bottled water sold across state lines - meaning most of the product you are drinking has not been inspected
U.S. plastic bottle production requires more than 1.5 million barrels of oil, enough to fuel 100,000 cars.
About 86 percent of the empty plastic water bottles in the United States land in the garbage instead of being recycled.

So why do global Consumers continue to plague our already toxic streams and landfills with plastic bottle waste that cannot be broken down effectively? Because they have been led to believe that these highly marketed products are safer than tap water. But did you know that the Federal Government requires much more rigid safety monitoring of municipal tap water? In fact, on a recent Good Morning America episode that generated a Taste Test of the best water product, New York City tap water was chosen over Evian! The bottom line is that the production of bottled water causes significant public health, and environmental problems. These include:

Taking water from communities that are depending on it for their own drinking purposes.
Polluting the environment during the production of plastic.

Contributing to global warming by transporting bottled water over great distances.

NEWS FLASH: A recent Associated Press investigation found that pharmaceuticals were detected in tap water supplies of at least 41 million Americans. Two experts respond in a Dallas Morning News Story which ran March 12th, 2008

"The least expensive, most effective method to remove organic chemicals from water for home use is with a carbon filter" - Dr. Alicia Diehl, - Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

"If anything, more questions arise with bottled water, since plasticizers may leach out of plastic" - Dr. Sandy Dasgupta, Chairman of the dept. of chemistry at the University of Texas

The patented Carbon Composite filter that is included with every BACK TO THE TAP water system - will treat up to 80 gallons of water, and will last approximately 3 months. This unique filtration system eliminates a significant portion of heavy metal, (lead, mercury, and copper), as well as chlorine and other biological impurities, in order to deliver fresh pure quality water that Filters as you Drink! You can also be assured that you are drinking from an FDA approved and enduring plastic that will provide months of great tasting water for just pennies a day.
